Here are my five easy steps to ruin your wedding day!

Five easy steps to ruin your wedding day. Okay, do I have your attention now? No I’m not really writing a blog on how to ruin your wedding day – that’s the last thing I want! After shooting as many weddings as I have, there have been certain things that stood out to me that can really put a damper on your wedding day. I wanted to create this blog to help put you in the right mindset for a successful and fulfilling day!

#1 Stop planning before your wedding day.

This might sound obvious, but what when wedding day arrives, you don’t want to be worrying about anything except getting married and having the time of your life! Worrying about the details on wedding day can seriously damper the mood and detract from the really important stuff.

#2 Trust your wedding vendors.

Put all your full trust in your vendors. Let them worry about any problems or situations that come up. They are trained professionals and know what they are doing, so you can rest assured you are in good hands. As a vendor myself, I can assure you we do our very best to make things run smooth for you and take any worries out of the question.

#3 Communicate your wedding day expectations.

Let your close family and friends know what you expect from them on your wedding day. Sometimes people want to be helpful, but end up becoming more of a problem trying to help in places they don’t need to be helping. A little communication before hand can go a long way for preventing this!

#4 Put somebody in charge.

Asking someone to be a point person on your wedding day can be so helpful. Rather than having to worry about the details and schedule, they can be the person to do that for you. If it’s in the budget, I think it is so worth having a wedding planner.

#5 Relax and Enjoy

My best tip for you is to just relax and enjoy. Decide to just go with the flow of the wedding and not worry about the little things. Chances are things won’t go exactly as planned and that is perfectly okay.
