Our most recent wedding at the Lac La Belle wedding venue!
This Lac La Belle wedding venue is one of our favorites in the Oconomowoc, WI area. The reception spaces are filled with open windows allowing tons of natural light too flood in. As primarily natural light wedding photographers and videographers, we LOVE this! This was our first time shooting in the 1896 room at the Club. The other venue on site, The Carriage House, is also so gorgeous. Check out the photos and below I’ll write a walkthrough of the wedding day!
Prep
To begin the day we started with the groom prep right at Lac La Belle. We actually ended up shooting all of his prep photos right in a hallway where they had some cool vintage looking stuff set up. The bride’s prep photos we did at an Airbnb in Oconomowoc, right on the lake! It was such a beautiful house.
First Look
We had the awesome opportunity to shoot the first look out on the groom’s Bison farm in Watertown, Wisconsin. Originally, the whole wedding was supposed to take place at the farm. This would have been a pretty tough location to host the whole wedding, so the couple elected to just do the first look at the farm. We drove out to the field and it was gorgeous.
Ceremony
After the first look we headed to the Club at Lac La Belle for the ceremony and reception. This day was beyond hot, so it was nice to have an air conditioned reception venue. The ceremony was held outdoor and we lucked out with some cloud cover, making for perfect photos and video.
Reception
If you’ve been following us for a while on social media, you know how big a fan of live music I am. This couple killed it by having an awesome band play their reception. We danced the night away and stepped out for a few sunset photos.
