Late fall Madison, WI engagement photos!

When shooting Madison, WI engagement photos, you can never go wrong with picnic point and state street. In my opinion, state street is one of the best places to take engagement photos in Madison, WI. We started this session off at picnic point and even hiked all the way out. This place has some of the best views of the city and is a very popular proposal spot! After those photos we headed downtown to shoot photos in the state street area. I really like to take photos on top of the parking ramps and take advantage of the textures of rooftops and trees. This was a very overcast day and as an engagement photographer, I love that! Overcast skies provide the most soft light and provide limitless possibilities for photo spots.

If you are looking for a fun place to go this weekend, I would highly recommend Picnic Point. Many people like to run on the trails or even have group events at the bonfire and picnic sites throughout the park. It’s about a 15 minute walk from the start to the end. If you are planning on shooting photos here, make sure to plan enough time for the hike out and back. The last thing you want to do is walk all the way out and miss sunset!
