Beautiful late October wedding at the rustic Sugar Island barn wedding in Watertown, Wisconsin.
To say I had a blast at this Watertown wedding would be an understatement! The whole crew brought tons of energy throughout the day and were so much fun to work with. Sugar Island Barn has the perfect set up for wedding prep photos. The big windows in the prep rooms gave us so much natural light to work with for the getting ready photos. At most wedding venues, the getting ready rooms don’t have as much clean light to work with. Check out the wedding photos below!
One of my favorite parts about this wedding was how everything was done all at one location. The wedding prep, ceremony, and reception all took place at the barn. I think that makes things so much less stressful on the wedding day. It also makes things a little bit cheaper since you don’t have to pay for transport throughout the wedding day. I do love church weddings and shooting of site locations, but having the ease of everything in one place never gets old!
Since this wedding was later in fall, we had to be mindful of sunset time. It’s easy to let the daylight slip away on you with sunset being so early. We didn’t do a first look, so all of the wedding party photos had to take place after the ceremony. This was not a problem at all and it was so helpful that everything was all at the barn!
