New years Westmoor Country Club wedding in Brookfield, Wisconsin.
I always love it when I get the chance to shoot a winter wedding. There is something so special about photographing people surrounded by snow covered trees and buildings. This was such a lovely Westmoor Country Club wedding!
At Home Wedding Prep
We began the day shooting the wedding prep photos at the couples apartment in Third Ward and also Erik of Norway Salon Spa in the Mequon area. After a while, we headed over to St. Monica Parish in Whitefish Bay to finish prep and get ready for the ceremony.
Church Wedding Ceremony
The couple chose St. Monica Parish to be the location for their ceremony and I could not have asked for a more beautiful ceremony location. The inside of the church was so elegant and beautifully decorated still from Christmas the week before.
Outdoor Winter Wedding Photos
After scouting the areas nearby the church for locations to shoot photos at, I decided to shoot the wedding party and couples portraits right on the church property. They had some incredible trees that were perfectly dusted with snow. It created an amazing winter wonderland look! Winter weddings can be tough with the cold weather, but if you’re willing to bare the cold, the photos turn out amazing.
Country Club Wedding Reception
The reception for the wedding was held at Westmoor Country Club. The club decorated the reception hall with gorgeous Christmas decorations, which gave the entire venue a warm and cozy feel. Guests enjoyed a cocktail hour, dinner, and finished off the night dancing to a live band. I always love weddings that have a live band!
